These are what I consider the most important items of my training adventures.

Shoes

Running:

Inov-8 X-Talon 190 – Perfect for muddy conditions.

Inov-8 F-Lite 195 – All purpose road and dry trail shoe.

Vibram Five Fingers Sprints – Road shoe, dry conditions only.

Weightlifting:

Do-Win Weightlifting Shoes – I only clean and squat in lifting shoes.

Belt

Powerlifting:

Toro Lever Belt – This one is legal for raw comps.

Packs

Up to 100km:

Nathan Intensity Race Vest – Can fit all mandatory gear, but you may need to utilise drop bags.

Over 100km:

Nathan Synergy Hydration Pack – Very big pack! Dual bladder for 2 drinks to have separately or mix.

Other Gear

Gaiters:

Inov-8 Debris Gaiters – Very uncool, but better quality than the pretty ones the cool kids wear.

Anti Chafe:

BodyGlide – This one doubles as sunscreen.

Lighting:

Fenix HP11 Headlamp – I have an older version. Brightness may be overkill for some, but I have terrible night vision. Use lithium batteries to make it lighter.

Nutrition

Electrolytes:

Saltstick Caps – Vegetarian.

Protein:

IBCAAs – Ajinomoto Instantised Branched Chain Amino Acids. These are the highest quality and the only BCAAs that dissolve.
